Every crisp begins at the source. We choose growers who share our standards for ripeness, size and seasonality, then trace each batch back to the field it came from. Nothing anonymous, nothing rushed.

Premium Farm Selection

A small group of partner farms across India is hand picked for soil, climate and care. Fruits and vegetables are harvested at peak maturity, when natural sugars and aromatics are at their height.

Vacuum Frying Process

Inside a sealed low pressure chamber, the produce crisps at gentle temperatures, well below conventional deep frying. The reduced pressure lowers the boiling point of water, so each slice dries into a clean, audible crunch without scorching.

We fry in refined rice bran oil. It is light, neutral and stable, with a high smoke point that suits a gentle process. The result tastes of the fruit or the vegetable, never of the oil.

  • Vacuum frying cooks whole fruits and vegetables under low pressure at gentle temperatures, well below conventional deep frying. The reduced pressure lowers the boiling point of water, so the produce crisps without scorching, holding on to more of its natural colour, flavour and aroma.

  • Our crisps are made from whole fruits and vegetables rather than processed potato dough, and they are gently vacuum fried instead of deep fried. They contain no added sugar in our fruit range, no preservatives and no artificial flavours, which makes them a more considered alternative to conventional crisps. As always, enjoy as part of a balanced diet.

  • Yes. Every HealthWise product is fully plant based, made only from real fruits, vegetables, pantry spices and a touch of salt.

  • Yes. All HealthWise crisps are naturally gluten free. We do not use wheat, barley, rye or oats in any recipe.

  • We use refined rice bran oil for our vacuum frying process. It has a clean, neutral taste that lets the produce speak for itself.

  • Rice bran oil has a high smoke point and a balanced fatty acid profile, which makes it well suited to gentle vacuum frying. Its neutral flavour means our crisps taste of the fruit or vegetable, not the oil.

  • No. We do not use preservatives, artificial colours or artificial flavours. The natural sugars, starches and aromatics of the produce do the work.

  • HealthWise is a UK brand, with manufacturing and packaging in India. We work with partner farms across India that meet our standards for ripeness, size and quality, picking each batch close to peak season.

  • Because vacuum frying happens at lower temperatures than conventional frying, more of the natural fibre, colour and flavour of the produce is preserved. Whole ingredients, gently handled, in small batches.
